Alex Blocker breaks the boundaries of genre by combining elements of R&B, Hip-Hop, Alternative Rock, and Jazz with contemporary violin finesse to create an artistic style that is completely his own. Having shared stages with performers such as Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Andy Frasco, Members of Pretty Lights, Boombox, Masta Ace, Nappy Roots, Gramatik, and more, Blocker's performance resume boasts several shows in top venues including Ball Arena, Broadmoor World Arena, Taste of Chicago, Bluebird Theatre, Fox Theatre, and Chicago State University.
Influenced by his Chicago roots, Blocker has expressed musical ingenuity as a producer, instrumentalist, and vocalist on several previous releases, gracing the cover of Westword, being featured as part of Narkita Gold's "Black in Denver" Exhibit at Denver's Museum of Contemporary Art, being named as "New Colorado Music You Should Know" by 303 Magazine several times, and garnering top accolades from premiere publications.
